Book of Abstracts
The Book of Abstracts will be available only online. As no hardcopy of the Book of Abstracts will neither be handed out at the conference or widely available, we strongly recommend to either download the interactive PDF file (from a link to be made available to you in advance) onto your mobile device or to print the PDF file before attending the conference (please note that no printers will be available on site).
Lectures
The program is scheduled to start on Monday at 13:45 h and to end on Thursday around 13:30 h.
All lectures will take place in HZO 20 (=Hörsaal Zentrum Ost / Hörsaal 20).
All speakers are asked to set up and test their presentations prior to their session. If you bring your presentation on a USB stick (preferentially as a standard PDF file, or also as a native PowerPoint Office file) we kindly ask you to make sure you upload the file on the computer provided on site and to test your presentation well before your talk is scheduled to begin.
If your presentation contains animations and/or sophisticated graphics, or has a different format from those supported by us, please bring your own laptop for your presentation. Again, this should be tested well in advance. If your laptop does not have a VGA output, please provide your own VGA adapter.
Some technical support will be available to assist if necessary but each speaker is responsible as outlined.
Posters
The poster sessions will take place in the Audimax (directly opposite of HZO) from 18:30 to 22:00 h.
- Monday (odd numbers)
- Tuesday (even numbers)
The recommended poster format is portrait DIN A0 (corresponding to a height of 1189 mm and a width of 841 mm). Material to attach the posters will be provided whereas no possibility of printing posters from a file will be available.
The posters can be put up in the morning of the respective day and have to be removed directly after the respective session at night; all remaining posters will be disposed of as waste immediately thereafter.
Excursion
According to the poll at the AGTC Mitgliederversammlung during the STC 2015, there will be no excursion organized in view of the new format of STC 2016 that deliberately excludes the weekend. Nevertheless, Bochum and Metropolis Ruhr feature a polycentric and vibrant cultural landscape which is very worthwhile to exploring before or after the STC.
