This website is the 'entrance' to all practical classes in the virtual laboratory of the Center for Theoretical Chemistry at the Ruhr-University Bochum.

Remarks:
The practical classes take place in our 'virtual lab', i.e. Theoretikum (NCDF03/316). Students can borrow a key to the "Theoretikum" in the secretary's office to allow them to work outside of office hours. Additionally, a considerable part of the exercises can be carried out through an external login (via a Java-based SSH Terminal Applets).
Anyone using the virtual laboratory and its facilities must abide by the conditions and terms laid down in the Terms of Service by the official University Board amended by the specific conditions as posted.
Access to the practical course homepage outside the Theoretical Chemistry network is only possible with use of a password. If you are interested in a 'tour' of the virtual laboratory please get in touch with dominik.marx@theochem.ruhr-uni-bochum.de.
Excellent Practical Course
The group leader Dr. Karin Fink and scientific co-worker Dr. Axel Kohlmeyer were awarded the Hande-Prize for E-Learning in 2001 for the conception and establishment of the "Virtual Laboratory for Theoretical Chemistry and Theoretical Biochemistry at the Ruhr-University Bochum"
